Volcanoes
There are five main volcanoes in Costa Rica These are Poas Volcano, Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, Irazu Volcano, Tenorio Volcano and Turrialba Volcano. These are great places to visit. The air will be cool or cold. Usually there is an associated national park (entrance fee required), many nearby hotels and restaurants, with associated day tours. The day tours can be anything from going to the top, hot springs, horseback riding (English saddle), hiking, rainforest canopy tours, bird and butterfly tours, or other cultural events.
